Illinois Snapshots of Early Literacy (ISEL)

This year we would like to announce two exciting new enhancements to the ISEL-PDA system. The Spanish version of ISEL 2 is now available for use. Also, we have developed a Progress Monitoring tool to complement the Fall, Winter and Spring ISEL assessments. We believe that with these enhancements the program will provide you with the most comprehensive and effective system to meet your literacy assessment needs.

Illinois' Tool for Early Childhood Excellence (I-TEACHe)

As you know, “Pre-school For All” is bringing many additional EC programs to the Block Grant.  To accommodate the needs of a much larger constituency, we will be moving the current application towards a broader, more flexible observational documentation system, which could be used with any assessment system, not just WSS-IL.

Online Professional Development for Continuous School Improvement

We are conducting a major redesign of our traditional professional development program. The primary change is that all courses will now be available online.

Course topics are expanding beyond our technology integration niche to include course sequences covering the Continuous Improvement Process as well as a broad offering of Innovative Instructional Strategies. We are currently seeking qualified educators interested in becoming facilitators of our courses offered in the face-to-face and/or online learning environments.
