 ECDEC Instructional Assistant and Teacher Positions

ECDEC is currently interviewing for Early Childhood Teacher positions.  Qualified candidates will have a Professional Educator License (PEL) with an early childhood education endorsement and/or an early childhood special education approval.    Bilingual or ESL endorsements are also preferred.

ECDEC is currently interviewing for a full time Instructional Assistant. Qualified candidates must have 60 hours of college or have passed the Work Keys Test in order to obtain Paraprofessional approval from the ISBE.  Bilingual/Spanish preferred.

Additionally, ECDEC maintains a list of authorized Teacher and IA subs to primarily serve the four classrooms that are not located within a school district building.  Classrooms are located in both Palatine and Wheeling Townships.

A 4-year degree is required to be a teacher sub; a high school diploma or equivalent is required to sub as an Instructional Assistant. Previous experience working with young children is preferred, but not necessarily required. The teacher sub rate is $110/day; the IA sub rate is $90/day.
