ILLINOIS ADULT LEARNING HOTLINE

Finding a Class

The Illinois Adult Learning Hotline provides referral services for students, volunteers, and employers wishing to access adult education and literacy and programs throughout Illinois.

Call the Illinois Adult Learning Hotline, 800-321-9511, or go online at www.thecenterweb.org/alrc/hotline to:

  • locate adult education classes near your home or work in English as a Second Language (ESL), adult literacy, GED preparation for English and Spanish GED, and citizenship
  • find a program in need of volunteers
  • contact a variety of adult education programs in your area

Operators speak English, Spanish and Polish. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Please leave a message on the answering machine at all other times.)
